A smile broke across Loce’s face as Anneli’s hand touched his arm. He didn’t have to see or hear her to know it was her. The slightest touch was enough. He instinctively slipped an arm protectively around her, drawing her back into him, back home. “Välkommen hem, älskling. Mae fy nghalon yn wag heboch wrth fy ochr.” He winked at her, switching between their native languages. The accents clashed, but it didn’t matter to him, as both of them held a special place for their native tongue. The sentiment held, regardless of if she understood the Welsh word for word. His heart was empty when she was not by his side. Loce chuckled. “I wouldn’t be too sure on that one. He can’t remember first year COMC about toothpicks… Seriously, the git is not Hogwarts Material.” He shook his head. “Ah well, enough talk about the trash. And be careful how you help him… The chaperones are on point tonight. Don’t need you in detention over him too.” He half laughed, half sighed. If the Chaperones were this into everything, how was Ezra going to sneak out? Ah well, he just had to manage Drake. And he figured Drake would be the easier of the two. “What would you two like to do first?” He asked. He didn’t know if Cordelia had a date or not, but he wasn’t about to leave her standing all by herself in the middle of the Homecoming dance. There was plenty of time for him and Anneli to slip away from everyone else. But now was time for them to spend time with friends as well as each other.

Heather swirled into the hall with a smile on her face. She had both hands tangled in the fluffy skirts of her dark purple dress, loving the feel of it swaying as she walked. She wore black heels, charmed to feel like flats so nothing would stop her from dancing the night away. She was almost giddy with excitement. She really had thought this would just be another year, same old, same old…but since she’d run into Wesley, she began to believe this year would be full of adventure and excitement.
They hadn’t quite set up a specific meeting place, just knowing they’d both show up. She meandered over to grab herself a drink as she glanced around the hall for his arrival. She wondered what he’d be wearing. Everyone in this school seemed to clean up quite nicely. She noted how amazing some of the other gowns were. She’d have to make some rounds to compliment everyone.
She held a cup of butterbeer in her hand and took a spot slightly away from the refreshments so she wasn’t in the way. She looked over at the band and others dancing as she waited. She swayed just a little bit to the music.

Cordelia had been distracted, wondering how long Oliver was going to keep Anneli from the night she wanted to be having when a voice pulls her attention. Her eyes slide to the person the voice belonged to and she nods in greeting, “Hello Loce.” She says, followed by a genuine thank you in response to his compliment.
She runs a hand across the front of her dress, smoothing out any areas the chiffon skirt might have bunched up. “I appreciate that.” She adds, and she means it. She takes in his attire, “You’re looking very dapper for tonight’s event.” A smile nearly makes an appearance, “Anneli has seemed very taken by you.” She remarks, her voice nearing warmth. Cordelia was happy her friend was happy. Especially with her family being so overbearing... But they were all still young; who knows what the future will bring. It's good to hang on to those happy moments when they come.
Cordelia sweeps her eyes among the assemblage of students dancing and having a good time. “Liam and I teased each other about coming together.” She says but shrugs. “Nothing concrete… so in short I supposed the answer is no, I’m not waiting on anyone.” She takes a casual sip of her drink and looks back to Loce, “I’m still working on my love story I guess. We can’t all be like you and Anneli.” She finally cracks a smile in Loce’s direction.
As if it was divine timing, Anneli appears beside them. Cordelia allows herself to smile at the complement regarding her dress, “Such praise and coming from you?” Cordelia gestures appreciatively with her hands up and down at Anneli’s full look, “Oh c’mon.” Anneli is beautiful, everyone knows it.
Cordelia listens in and smirks at the mention of Anneli threatening Oliver and his eyes… “If he was smart he’d listen to you.” She snickers, and then shakes her head slightly, “Poor O’Shea.” He really was out of his element when it comes to Anneli. He would do well to set his sights elsewhere, if not for the safety of his eyes… then for his general overall well-being. There were plenty of groups of dateless girls here chittering and giggling and eyeing the single boys, that he should get to know instead. Cordelia internally grimaced realizing she was one of those dateless girls…
She heard Loce ask what the two of them wanted to do, but she didn’t want to interrupt their night so early on. She places her drink down on the table beside them and looks back at Anneli and Loce, “No, you two...” She lifts her hands and placing one on each of them ushereing them toward the dance floor. “Go. Dance. Enjoy your night. We can catch up later.” She steps back to pick up her drink and with her free hand wiggles her fingers in their direction to say ‘bye’ with a smile.

Liam saunters into the dance, a little late. Fashionably late, one could say. He had been very much looking forward to tonight. He loved events. He loved being around people and seeing how they interacted with one another. He loved seeing who was interested in who and loved to chat over drinks to good music. He adjusted his tie as he walked in, immediately picking up on who was there. He passed by a few girls who gave him a smile and he gave them an award-winning grin back. He scanned the room to spot some friends and it didn’t take him very long to find some. He approached Loce, Anneli, and Cordelia. “Good evening, everyone. Fancy meeting you all here,” he joked. “Have I missed anything good yet?”

My girl. That’s how Ezra referred to her. The elicited response in Aracely is a dazzeling smile. My girl? She liked the sound of that. She had watched his hands run through his hair and she wanted nothing more than to be holding that hand. She looks into his eyes and smiles, feeling a flutter in her stomach.
Aracely blushed, feeling a rush of warmth spread through her body. “Thank you. I wanted to look my best for you.” She admitted, not even feeling embarrassed like the though she might. She gave a little curtsey, showing off the dress more and smiled. For a moment, they stood there, just smiling at each other, caught up in the magic of the moment. The music swells around them, and Aracely felt her feet start to move closer. Aracely takes his hand, feeling a thrill run through her as she moves in closer. What next?
If Aracely was being honest with herself, ever since the practice with Ezra... leading up to this night all she though about was was kissing him. She just knew that this was going to be an amazing night and she couldn't wait to see where it would take them. “What comes next? She looks up at him through her lashes and the shy smile returns.

She stood naturally under Loce’s arm. Anneli’s blonde hair cascaded down his shoulder. They felt entirely like a unit then. And a captivating one, apparently. A couple passing groups had stolen glances and slowed to gawk at them. Anneli usually wasn’t attached to anyone, let alone a boy. And a boy who had just recently transferred. She beamed an authentic smile.
‘Welcome home, darling.’ She heard him say in Swedish, My heart is empty without you…’ in his native Welsh. A natural combination of their tongues. The book of common Welsh words still open at her bedside table. Anneli didn’t truly have a home for the years before him. And here, with her closest friend Cordelia, a cloud of happiness swelled in her chest. The night was already spectacular in Anneli’s eyes. Anything to follow would only be a bonus.
Anneli grinned at Cordelia, her ability to compliment and make one feel special was effortless. She had only hoped to acquire such a personable ability. “If he was smart.” Anneli chuckled, shrugging him off. It wasn’t worth another thought.
Just then Liam arrived. Anneli smiled to her teammate, “Good evening, Liam,” She greeted, “Thank you for doing your job out there on the pitch. At least you didn't send anyone to the Hospital Wing…” Anneli chuckled, hoping to make light of the recent event. Liam had performed well as Beater, Fergus not so much. “You haven’t missed too much, other than a swift threat to O’Shea,” She paused, smiling at Liam, “I think Cordelia said something about wanting to dance...” Anneli winked, stealing a sly glance and casting a playful smile to Cordelia.
She looked to Coredelia again as she rejected the offer for the group to mingle for a while more. Anneli gave her a hidden ‘are you sure?’ nod. It was completely out of place for her to be anywhere but by Cordelia or surrounded by her Quidditch team. She waited until Cordelia signaled for them to scurry. Anneli was sure the entire team would meet again on the dance floor if not at their own table.
“I suppose we will meet up later? I’ll save us a table.” Anneli said, pulling her wand out discreetly from a black bag. She peered toward a huge, round table with plush emerald chairs and pumpkin centerpieces. Glowing candles sat at the table. Anneli flicked her wand, a set of napkins momentarily hanging in the air until they solidified and folded into pieces of parchment. She wove her wand again, their names appearing in cursive ‘Anneli Oden’ ‘Loce Vaisey’ ‘Cordelia Burke’ ‘Liam Greenway’ on each of the place cards. They flew gracefully to each plate around the table. “Reserved.” She said simply, smiling back to the group, “Until then.” Anneli beamed.
She let Cordelia push them away. Secretly happy to be shuffled off with him. Anneli reminded herself to thank Cordelia later. A true friend.
Anneli squeezed his arm, gazing up at him, “Fy nghariad,” She said softly, “Min kung, ditt hjärta är mitt hem.” Her voice was sheer velvet among the crowds. The words fell from her lips naturally. With him, she didn’t need to think. She was safe. Anneli smiled, unsure if he would be able to decipher all of her words, but that didn’t matter. All that mattered was right in front of her at the moment.
Her body turned naturally into his. The thought of gawking passerby no longer tugging at her mind. With no one around them, she found it difficult not to become entirely lost in him again.
Anneli rested her chin on his collarbone, looking up to him, “Tell me, mitt hjärta,” She said softly, draping her arms around him, “Is Hogwarts living up to your expectations?” She laughed, casting a glance up to the ceiling. Her fingers ran up through the back of his hair, tugging slightly. Anneli’s smile reached her eyes.
They stood just at the edge of the dance floor. The Wandslingers played an enchanting melodic song as more students entered. Her body naturally swayed lightly, on time to each note.

Loce could feel the gazes as others passed and knew his girl was the center of attention. As usual. He couldn’t help but return her smile. She was, without a doubt, the most beautiful person in the room. And she was with him. How he managed that bit of luck, he still wasn’t sure. He supposed the stares would continue for the night, especially from the dateless boys. Not only had he just set foot in their school, he’d managed to capture a spot on their house team, and the affections of Anneli. “Hey Liam, glad you could make it.” He chuckled when she mentioned threatening O’Shea. He half wished the kid would ask Anneli to dance again, just to see what would happen. But honestly he had no desire to see the kid again, and pushed any further thoughts of him out of his mind. Tonight was for Anneli, and that is the only thing that mattered. “Thinking ahead, nice.” He smiled at her. He hadn’t thought about that. Then again, with her being the captain of the quidditch team, he doubted anyone would refuse to move, had they need of it. He was glad Cordelia rejected the invitation. And even more glad when Liam showed up. Of course, disappearing into the crowd so near to when he showed up, might seem a bit rude. But honestly he could care less. As Cordelia waved them away, his heart soared. All he wanted was to spend time with Anneli, although he realized that she was his only real friend here. Perhaps Ezra? But he resolved to see if there might be others he could consider friends. They stopped at the edge of the dance floor and finding himself a bit apprehensive, even nervous to take the step and move into the dancing. The again, with her ancestry, she would easily be the center of attention on the dance floor as she was pretty much anywhere in the school. He just had to remind himself that she was his. As she said, his heart was her home. They were perfectly matched, and then again she was still so far out of his league. He laughed lightly when as asked if Hogwarts was living up to his expectations. “Hogwarts surpassed my expectations the moment I laid eyes on you.” He winked at her, slipping his other arm around her waist. Secretly glad others were noticing them. Extremely glad she was opening up and glowing. She was perfectly radiant. He placed a quick kiss on her forehead. “But in all honesty, I didn’t think there was a place I could feel quite so comfortable, quite so much at home.” They’d talked about how unusual their relationship was. How fast the bonded and how tight their bond was given the fact he’d been there what a month give or take. But now was not the time to delve into that. “And you? Is this year living up to your expectations?” He winked at her, knowing full well she felt the same as he did. Content to just stand around and talk, he knew she was itching to dance. He swallowed the apprehension brewing and looked down to meet her gaze. “Shall we dance love?” He offered as the music slowed. He supposed there were any number of couples that were wanting to dance, but he accepted this as the music slowing specifically for them. It made the night seem that much more special, more theirs.

Wesley was getting ready for the homecoming dance. He had a date with a beautiful Hufflepuff girl and he couldn’t be more amped for the evening. This was their first real kind of date situation, and he was excited about it. He ditched the old hand-me down dress robes that had been his uncles and instead opted for a striped traditional suit. Maybe it wasn't as traditional, but he much preferred this dressing for formal events over robes.
He made his way down to meet Heather. As he walked through the corridors, he felt a sense of anticipation building inside him. He had never been to a dance before with a date. Plus he was looking forward to seeing the The Wandslingers play live. He imagined the music filling the Great Hall and all the couples dancing in pure fun.
When he arrives he is engulfed by the sound of music and the sight of students mingling all around. Wesley's eyes widened as he takes it all in and then he is on the search for Heather, wondering what kind of outfit she will be wearing.
He didn't have to wonder long because there near the refreshments was Heather, waiting for him. She was wearing a beautiful dress, which matched her cheerful disposition perfectly. Her red hair was styled for the occasion and she had a bright smile on her face, drink already in hand.
He approaches her and hands her small bouquet of red roses mixed with Cinnamon Scented Geranium, a nod to their original meeting at the pub. "Heather, wow. You look amazing." He says, grinning.

Fergus smiled as she took the box. It had been a small gesture, yet one he had fretted over for days. The delicate sounds of French leaving her lips made his heart jump. He found her accent to be utterly charming. Fergus had a thing for accents. He enjoyed her enthusiasm for the gift, “Of course,” He said, his voice strong and dignified. The necklace had cost a fair amount, though money wasn't an object for Fergus in his vault.
As she turned her back to him, a small breath caught in his chest. He took a step forward, a sense of unease washing over him. His nerves for the night finally caught up with him. Fergus took the clasp into his hands and secured it. He gently moved her hair, taking her hand to gently twirl her back around. “It looks amazing on you,” He said honestly, his gaze falling down her chest to the necklace.
Fergus and Gwendolyn moved into the Great Hall, his hand guiding her through the thickets of swarming students. He nodded to a couple friends. They hadn’t understood his choice for the night, but that didn’t matter to him. The sound of the band filled the room. The Great Hall looked even more massive decorated for autumn.
He briefly scanned the room, noting a few teammates. Fergus looked to Cordelia and Liam, idly wondering where Anneli might be for the night. Perhaps she hadn’t come. Then again, he also didn’t see Loce. Yet.
Fergus gazed down to Gwendolyn, a beauty in black and white. “The night is ours,” He smiled at her, “Drinks or dance first?” Fergus winked, hoping to entertain his date however she would like.

He rubbed the back of his neck, staring at Aracely’s grin. She certainly had a beautiful smile. Ezra gazed at her, his mind tumbling over itself. He had worried about the dance for the few nights before, especially when it came to the dance part of the dance. Ezra had two left feet. He could charm her off the dance floor, but on? That was yet to be seen.
The blush across her cheeks made him smile. Her bashfulness pulled Ezra out of his. “For me?” He laughed, “Absolutely flattered someone like you might even joke about dressing up for a smuck like me.” Ezra winked at her playfully. He gazed down to her dress, still absorbed by all of it’s color. Aracely was a beautiful firework. Perhaps more reserved than her sister, but made an impression nonetheless.
Ezra felt her take his hand and beamed. He entwined his fingers with hers. They felt good together. She was someone he could hold a conversation with easily. Quidditch, cards, the sky. It didn’t matter as long as she was by his side. Her question made him smile.
He looked down at her for a moment before pulling her in and kissing her deeply. She glowed in blue under the lights. Ezra retracted to grin brilliantly, “I couldn’t resist that being next.” He said simply, touching her face lightly before turning to the entrance of the Great Hall. Ezra looked back to her beaming, “Aracely, I’d be delighted to have a dance with you. If you'd have me,” He laughed, using an overly formal voice and bowing at his center. Ezra pulled back up grinning and offering to lead her deeper into the Hall.

Her eyes swam in his, a flirtatious flicker painting them. A curl to her lip. A mischievous, happy look. She was entirely spellbound with him. Anneli found it difficult to prescribe love as the reason for the rush of emotions fluttering in her core now. It might be easier to consume if he had utilized magic to be this naturally charming instead. Hers. She reveled in the thought. Something about their public display of affection made it that much more real.
“My expectations were exceeded just a few weeks ago,” She winked playfully, “It took five years, well worth the wait.” Anneli laughed, joking and serious all in one. The castle hadn’t felt alive until he came along. She had always loved the school, but now it felt like a true place of solace. One that held her heart within its walls. She often thought about the boy’s dormitory, wondering how Loce kept his bed…
She squeezed his hand. A brilliant smile lit up her features. He was at home here. Comfortable. Anneli enthused in the thought, hoping he might stay until graduation. The brief thought of them parting cut at her side. A sliver of pain ran through her arm. Anneli ignored it. Pain was like an old friend to her. A friend that wasn’t welcomed, but had no longer made her flinch in small doses.
“I didn’t fully realize my expectations before I met you,” She said, a smile touching her eyes, “You’ve completely obliterated and rebuilt my standards of men, that I can assure you.” Her tone playful, “I would never settle for anyone or anything less. Not during my time at Hogwarts nor anywhere else.” Anneli wasn’t sure why these words tumbled from her lips. Perhaps it was because she needed Loce to know he was the only one she could see there tonight. The straying eyes of others meant nothing to her. Her eyes would not be straying from him.
The vibration of the floor buzzed at the bottom of her heels. An internal hum calling her like a siren across the sea of dancers. Anneli had an impulse to music, though she could only recall one or two times the urge was this strong. The first time Anneli danced with all the natural grace of a Veela was around a festival fire in Sweden. She was a kid then, merrily prancing and laughing. Now fifteen, the call to dance was more fiery than before. Especially with Loce at her side. “Of course, min snygg pojkvän.” She said smiling, happy to flirt with him in Swedish. My handsome boyfriend. Whether or not he fully understood, she was tickled.
Anneli took his hand delicately, strolling toward the center of the dance floor with him. She twirled back to face him, her waist caught in his hand. The heat of his touch burning the skin under her dress. Her blonde hair fell in pale strands around her face. Her eyes were the clearest oases they ever had been. Anneli pulled her arms up around his shoulders, her hands delicately playing at the back of his hair. Their bodies began to sway naturally to the music, as if they were one.
Her heart moved with the music. It moved with him. His steady lead guided her into soft twirls and wrapped her back up again. Anneli broke from him for just a moment, following the soft notes being played by the band. Her body swayed to the pace of the melody. Her arms and hands rose above her, telling a story that could only be told through dance. She was lost in the music then. Her dragon brooch glistened by her heart. In the background she heard the subtle, enchanted gasp of an onlooker. Eyes had begun to peer toward Anneli. She felt no need for embarrassment. Her heart was living there. This part of her was so rarely tapped into. She would grasp it.
Anneli seemed to levitate in front of Loce, her body twirling elegantly back into him. She let herself be swallowed by the length of his arms. Her heart soared there. Loce Vaisey made her feel like her life here at Hogwarts, and perhaps beyond, could be transformed into a new story. One in which she could learn to smile as naturally as she was now, all of the time. Anneli gazed up at him for a moment, entranced with his natural style and wise look. She was his, entirely.
“Thank you, my love,” She whispered, her lips at his ear. English slipped through naturally then. Anneli held her arms around his neck, her heart pulsing to kiss him. Every inch of him. “I won’t forget our first dance anytime soon,” She smiled, casting a gaze up to the ceiling. A majestic scene of the cosmos.
A mischievous smile curled at her full lips, “Do you think we might have an after party?” She paused, running her fingers through his hair. “Perhaps with a few friends…or just you and I?” Anneli winked. “I could attempt to make you a peanut butter and jelly.” She laughed delicately, the idea of her clumsily attempting the sandwich for him made her smile.

Loce grinned as she winked at him. He loved seeing this side of her, loved seeing her happy, and carefree, at least in the moment. “If I would have known you were here waiting for me, I would have got myself expelled sooner.” And that was the truth. There was nothing at Ilvermorny that would ever compare to these few weeks at Hogwarts. Nothing in his past could hold a candle to her. Nothing and no one could make him want to go back. This was home, this was where his heart was. His heart leapt. Settle She thought anyone else would be settling? If he had more inkling to explore that sentiment… “You never have to worry about that. I’m not going anywhere without you.” Anything that would put him on Gunvald’s hit list was something to be avoided. Something he never even would contemplate. And here he was, the master of pranks, and he had none up his sleeve. None he was willing to risk his time there for at least. Her handsome boyfriend His heart grabbed onto hers and boyfriend, and a smile played at his lips. He was certainly hers. Now and for as long as she would have him. He squeezed her hand lightly, following her to the center of the dance floor. This was where she belonged, the center of attention. As she swung back into him, he gently placed his hand on her waist, pulling her slightly closer. The air around them was electric, and he shivered with the full force of their being together. This, here, now, with her in her element, nothing could be more right. They began to dance, her arms around his shoulders, her fingers playing with his hair. He left one hand on her waist, the other having found the small of her back. He needed her touch to maintain the rhythm of the dance. Something she did so effortlessly, and he had to count every step to try to keep himself on beat. She moved so gracefully, so elegantly, he could understand the gasps from those who caught sight of her. She was a different person here on the dance floor, but still the same. The magic in her blood shone through, possessing her and keeping him from looking like a complete fool. His arms were empty without her, but she was in her element. She was at home here on the dance floor, and he would not take that from her even though with his own insecurities starting to take hold. She was beautiful, enchanting, ravishing… All he could see was her, all he cared to know was her. She twirled back into his arms then, completing them bringing them that much closer. His arms closing around her, protectively, selfishly. She was his, he was hers. And he meant to keep it that way, now… and always. He would not forget their first dance ever. It was etched in his mind and heart along with how radiant she was tonight. He leaned down, his lips finding hers and drawing her into his kiss. His hands lit on the small of her back, keeping her close. As the kiss ended, she looked up to him, questioning an afterparty, his brain froze, all sorts of thoughts, innocent and otherwise, raced through his mind. “As you wish my love. Just name it, and it will be arranged.” The idea of her making him a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, made him laugh. He winked at her and rested his forehead against hers. “I love you Anneli Oden. Now and always.” She was etched permanently on his heart. The music continued around them, but he barely heard it. His focus was entirely on her. He knew they were still keeping time with the music, if only because it was part of who she was.

Zander stood in front of the grand scene that was the Hogwarts great hall, taking in the sight of the many students milling about, all dressed in their finest for the homecoming dance. He had only recently arrived at the school and hadn't had many opportunities to meet his fellow classmates yet. But tonight, he was determined to make the most of it. He was dressed in sharp black dress robes, his hair combed neatly, and he felt confident as he made his way inside. He scanned the room, looking for the one person he knew, Niamh. She was sweet and had agreed to accompany him tonight. He was grateful for her kindness. He clocked the large stage where the charms event was to take place. He was looking forward to that part of the night, to seeing what some of these students could do. He meanders around the large the foyer eyes searching for that petite brown haired girl. He recalled that Niamh mentioned the area as a meetup point, he hoped he hadn't gotten it wrong.

Reece Briarwood, wearing a three-piece suit such a dark shade of green that most people would just see black, steps into the Great Hall. His eyes widened at the sight before him. The dance was in full swing, with students dressed in their finest robes and dresses, dancing to the beat of The Wandslingers. He was impressed upon entry, it was more lively, more extravagant then he had expected. Some school-hosted events could be so stale, so dry and boring-- this was definitely not that.
The room was adorned with glittering lights and decorations, and a large stage was set up in the room for the contest of the charms later in the night. Reece felt a rush of excitement as he gazed around, eager to enjoy the festivities. It should be an interesting night.
He scanned the crowd, searching for someone to approach. His eyes settled on Cordelia and Liam, who were standing near the refreshments table, sipping drinks and chatting.
Reece strode forward casually, smiling at a group of passing-by fourth-year girls who giggled as they moved by him. He shakes his head and chuckles slightly as he approaches them. He flashes a charming smile and greeted them warmly, "Hello, what are we drinking?" He asks, wondering if anyone had managed to... spice up the drinks.
That same group of girls that had wandered past him earlier had circled back and now stood a few feet away, blatantly staring at Liam. Reece nudged Liam with a laugh, "I think you've got some admirers, mate." They were probably daring one another to see who'd be brave enough to ask for a dance. Reece laughs again and picks up his own drink. He taps his cup against Cordelia's and takes a big sip. "Looking Beautiful as ever, Cordelia." He says.

“I admire that.” Juniper replies to Drake, in regards to him picking and choosing what needs interference and what to let slide. “Fun is to be expected and encouraged on nights like these.” Juniper agrees, “It feels important, in a way. Watching they young ones navigate areas in their lives outside of the learning atmosphere.” Juniper looks around the beauty of the room, the magnificence of it all. The kids mingling and laughing together. She can recall her own school dances and just how those nights brought friends together. How they cement memories your mind. Juniper turns her attention back to the conversation at hand. A transfer from Ilvermorney. She hadn’t met them yet. “Tired of the weather, huh.” She repeats with a bit of a chuckle. He made it seem so casual. She turns again as they are joined by another.
“Headmistress.” She greets, “Looking elegant tonight.” She compliments her colleagues dress with a bowing of her head. The air about her just conveyed authority, conveyed command. “I wonder how the rest of the night will unfold.” Juniper muses. The other thing she could recall of her own time as a student at a school dance? The drama. It was inevitable. “Any particular concerns we should be aware of as the evening progresses?” Juniper asks, directed toward Isadora.
As they converse, the music of the wizard band playing in the background creates a festive and joyful backdrop. Juniper feels a sense of connection with her fellow colleagues, enjoying the moment and the conversation as the students continue to dance and enjoy themselves around them.
