Loce and Anneli leave Drake’s office, heading back to the dungeons and their common room. The meeting went well overall with the professors. Not so well with Anneli. He hated that he had upset her with the conversation of the prophecy, or more accurately that tonight was the first time he’d told her about it. He could feel the distance between them even though they walked side by side. He sighed, she’d originally asked to talk, then seemed to turn it back on him, if he wanted. This was ridiculous. It was Isla for one… He stopped by the door to an empty classroom and opened it. Holding it open for her. “Can we talk now, before we get back to the Common Room?”He followed her into the classroom, quickly cast Lumos to turn give them light, and turned back to the door, closing it and making sure no-one could easily see into the room. He turned back to Anneli, “Alright, where should we start?” He frowned at the clipped tone but if the conversation with Isla was the only thing bothering her, then he had absolutely no clue why she seemed this upset overall.

Anneli walked silently by his side. She was connected to him, even in her doubts, she trusted Loce entirely. Her soul seemed to be interwoven with his. Yet still, Anneli fumed with his omissions. It would be tricky to reign in her fierce disposition. That very attribute had helped to protect her from her father's fury before Loce came into her life. Her arms crossed around her front defensively, even if she knew that was of no use. He could see past any defense she attempted. Well, perhaps most defenses.
She stopped by the door to the empty classroom with him. Anneli nodded. "Yes." She said shortly, moving past him into the room. Her hair played around her shoulders and at her breast. Anneli stood proudly in her robes. Her mind raced with questions about Sophie's message and Loce's revelations. Anneli had learned that he was in contact with Marcus. She might understand that, if not for the ripple it created beyond him and unto his sister. She had promised Sophie to talk to him, yet now...with the visions playing at her mind, Anneli felt guarded. She stood straight up, her gaze falling on him. He had spent some undisclosed time with Isla Reinhardt and revealed information in front of their Professors before herself alone. Her heart felt sore.
Her steady blue eyes held him. Anneli quietly admired him, despite the fury growing in her pit. Her anger was not truly his to blame alone. There was a lot that weighed on her mind. She stood stoically, a space between them, "We should start with when I said I trust you," Her voice was quiet, yet determined. A heat froze to her hands, still folded at her elbows. "And I do, but with what you revealed in Professor Ghica's office..." She shook her head, looking down, "From what I can tell, this prophecy reveals truths bigger than you or I. As such, I want to trust you with each part me of me, but..." Anneli turned away from him, "Omissions cast doubt. I know, now, that your free time was spent with Isla Reinhardt." She frowned. Anneli only wished he had been more transparent in the fact. "I understand. If the role were reversed, I might have done the same to protect you..." Her grip tightened around her body. "But as it involves us, I would like to know before the eyes and ears of our Professors..." Anneli took her gaze away from him. She wished Loce had trusted her with the intel. Especially as it involved a vision of her gaining power through some mysterious prophecy...A prophecy which was locked away in the Reinhardt's cellar.
Anneli settled against a desk. Moonlight streamed across their faces from the bare stone windows. She knew she would need to bring up Loce's owl to his brother Marcus. But how could she without exposing Sophie's owl to her? She toiled at the thought for a moment. Anneli requested complete honestly from him, so she would grant him the same - no matter the consequence.
She looked at him with focus, her eyes piercing even if warm. "Is there anything else I should know before we continue?" Anneli looked at him curiously, a stroke of pain shadowed her eyes. She didn't enjoy this, even if anger played at her fingertips.

Loce perched on a desk across from her, hating the distance between them. He sighed nodding slightly. “I am sorry. Sorry I didn’t bring it to you before meeting with them. But I am not sorry I didn’t tell you immediately. All the prophecy does right now is add more concern and worry about something we don’t have enough information on to do anything about. I wasn’t trying to hurt you. I wasn’t trying to deceive you. I just wanted more information before I brought this to you and dropped it in your lap. You have enough to worry about.” He ran his fingers through his hair pushing his bangs out of his face. He crossed his arms defensively. “Yes, I spent some free time with Isla. Yes, we talked about this whole mess that the four of us are embroiled in. You and Fergus at the hands of your parents, Isla and I because we happen to love you. Well, I love you, he loves Fergus… Is it so wrong to want to protect you from things that we can’t do anything about yet? That we don’t understand?” He sighed and shook his head again. Hopping off the desk he began pacing up and down the row. “I’ve known Isla longer than I’ve known you. She asked me to help her with the map then. I told her no. Recently I’ve told her I’d help if I could. But with you between any friendship Fergus and I may have had, and Fergus not letting go of the blasted map, there really isn’t much I can do to help.” He turned to face her. “We were trying to find a way to bring you into the discussion without causing undue suspicion. If Fergus catches wind of Isla and I together it is not good, but we could possibly chalk it up to potions class project or the like. But if he gets wind of the three of us talking? Is there much else we could be discussing? And that puts Isla right in the line of fire and loses any advantage we may have with her helping us. And without the blasted map, there is literally nothing we can do with respect to the prophecy, except hope they are wrong and it isn’t you.” The way he saw it, there wasn’t much hope in that outcome. She fit everything it said, right down to the dragons on the wand. The prophecy had gnawed at him this whole time. He perched on the desk again. “There is more, I didn’t tell the professor’s everything no. Not a lot more, but some. Her aunt created the map in the first place. We were wondering if her aunt could draw it again from memory to give us at least a copy if we can’t get the original. But that means getting her and her aunt together without her family finding out. I offered her and her aunt to meet at my house over break. I don’t know if she will take me up on it or not. Also, her friend, the seer. She will be seeing her again over break. We were hoping to be able to bring her something of yours specifically so we could see if we could confirm it is you and maybe find out more about the prophecy.” He watched here for a moment then nodded. “If the prophecy is about you, then it would follow that you are the one who can access the wand and the power. But the question is, what keeps you there? What would stop you from taking the wand and leaving?” He shook his head, bringing the heel of one foot up onto the desk and wrapping his arms around his knee. “That’s all I’ve got. Tons of questions, no answers. No real information.” He crossed his arms over his chest. He could tell she was angry. He didn’t see a reason for anger. But his father always said women were quick to anger and slow to forgive. He had seen that with his mother. “I really am sorry, it was a bad judgement call, that’s all. I’ve spent all this time trying to make you happy, trying to alleviate some of the worry. Why on earth would I deliberately do something to hurt you?” He sighed, giving the floor back to her so to speak.

Anneli watched him at a distance. Her solid guard was the only thing protecting the pain she felt being this far from him. A slight shiver of anger rang through her. Not toward him entirely, rather the situation itself. Her father had cornered her life into secrecy, even with the life Loce had breathed into it. It had already required them to keep things from each other. She shook her head, her eyes steady as she thought of the necessary omissions. Anneli wanted to reach out to him. Her hands urged to slip around his shoulders, but they wouldn't move forward. Experience had grown a stubborn disposition toward protecting herself, as well as others. The idea that Loce might keep something from her set those thoughts aflame...
She crossed her arms defensively. A heat ran through her fingertips. Anneli looked away from him as he spoke, yet she listened to each word carefully. He was truly sorry, she could feel that. But why wait to tell her? She looked at him with yearning eyes, a hint of anger flashing into them as he spoke of Isla Reinhardt. If she was being honest with herself, his time with her had concerned her the most. Anneli knew he wasn't interested, yet having secret conversations with her still played at her imagination. She scanned his face, trusting his words as he spoke them. Her brow furrowed as he questioned whether it was wrong to protect her. She sighed, attempting to release her anger. It transformed into understanding as she watched his face. Anneli knew in her heart that she would have done the same for him.
Anneli watched him as he hopped off the desk, raising an eyebrow as he said he knew Isla longer than her. That didn't bother her as much as the fact she never knew. Heat froze to her hands. Her arms tightened at her chest. She scanned his face as he told her his true intentions behind keeping his discussions with Isla behind closed doors and away from her. Her anger grew as she thought of Fergus. His very name burned into her chest like a brand. Anneli stood then, turning away from him. She wanted to hear him, but the voices of the dictators in her life rang through her mind. A burning ran through her veins until it appeared as fire from both her hands. Anneli turned, quickly sweeping her hands across her front. She took a deep breath and the flames diminished, "I'm sorry...that was not directed toward you," She sighed, almost embarrassed. Anneli did not have full control over her partial-Veela status quite yet. "I'm angry this situation has required us to keep any secrets, intended or otherwise. I think you made a wise decision...I do understand."
She brought her hand up to his cheek. She caressed it quietly, the warmth of the previous fire still at her fingertips. Not enough to burn him. "I forgive you, ti yw fy enaid, how could I not?" Anneli smiled warmly. "I would have done the same thing to protect you. I agree, we need to play it safe until the time is right. I'm sure us fraternizing with Isla wouldn't be agreeable to Fergus. I know he would send for his parents the first chance he got, the brainless fåne," She spat. Anneli frowned. It had taken everything in her not to curse Fergus upon sight after he sent an owl to Halvar. He had sent it while she was in the hospital wing under the pretense that she would have wanted that. The entire ordeal had triggered her father into speeding the process along. Anneli now faced a vow and holiday in Germany or her father's cold dungeons. The latter being more appealing.
Her mind raced as he informed her that Isla and Fergus' aunt had created the map. Anneli wondered what connection their aunt might have to a prophecy that may or may not feature herself? She cast her eyes downward, deep in thought. Anneli looked curiously at Loce, "My love...do you remember their aunt's name?" She asked, her voice becoming more soft as she stood by his side. Anneli felt connected with him again. His honest apology had melted away her guard. Loce might be the only person who was capable of such a power. She looked at him regrettably, his guard was still up. "I wonder if she has some deeper connection to the prophecy...I mean, why would she have it in the first place? To create an enchanted cellar to protect it and a map to match? I wonder what has been in it for her...to keep it from her own family..." She shook her head, baffled by racing questions which now soared through her mind from every direction.
Anneli looked at him as he mentioned the seer. "I trust you, and perhaps even Isla...but the idea of letting more people in that we barely know..." She sighed, scanning his features for strength, "I suppose we could use all the information about the prophecy we could get. Before we continue deeper into this mystery, I would like to know if it truly involves me. Perhaps she'll be able to provide some clarity to these questions..." Her voice drifted. Anneli turned to take something from her bag. She lifted the golden Hungarian Horntail hair clip to Loce, "I think this might do the trick." Anneli said, though slightly unwilling. It was her mothers. "I usually don't place my bets in seers, but unusual problems call for unusual solutions."
She frowned as he crossed his arms over his chest. Anneli understood why he might be defensive. Her anger had been fierce, even unwarranted toward him. She moved closer to him, closing the distance between them. Her hands found his forearms, gently breaking his guard. She let a moment pass, gazing up at him. He was the most handsome person she had ever seen. Their love was palpable in the tight space between them. Anneli took his arms apart, gazing deeply up at him, "I don't think you would do anything to hurt me, Loce Vaisey," Her voice was naked, vulnerable, "As I wouldn't do anything to hurt you. Ever." Her golden hair fell around her face as she moved to her toes to kiss his neck. Her lips moved up to his ear, allowing herself to move with the feeling, "Forgive me for my assumptions and anger? My fury has much more to do with the situation than it ever did you. I'm sorry my love." She said softly, the whisper caressing his jawline, "Though if I was ever truly upset with you, I might run." Anneli winked at him playfully, hoping to break the cool disposition between them. Despite the daunting situation, her heart yearned for their usual humor and warmth. Her hand found his, "You are my love, my husband, my heart...Jag älskar dig med hela mitt väsen." She tucked her head into his chest. His heart beat under her porcelain face. Hers beat in melody with his, though they might never know that.
Anneli kept the weight of the information he told her locked behind a strong façade of confidence and resilience. If she was truly the one to unlock a wand with powers which rivaled the Elder wand, what did that mean for them? For Loce? The last thing she wanted to be was the reason he got hurt or worse in the journey for the truth...

Loce took a defensive step back as fire erupted from her hands. He wanted to respond, but truly didn’t know what part of what he said had triggered the reaction. He was seconds away from asking, when she apologized. He settled slightly with her explanation but he was still on edge. This whole conversation, the whole idea of her being upset with him over this to begin with, nearly made him angry. And that was the last thing they needed. He flinched instinctively as she reached to touch him, not knowing if the effects of the fire would remain in her touch. He regretted the unconscious reaction as she spoke, but it was an unconscious reaction. Hopefully she would overlook it. He leaned into her touch just as instinctively, and turned slightly to kiss her hand. “He is a fool, yes, but unfortunately is not blind or actually stupid. We could work that to our advantage.” He shrugged, there were not a lot of options open to them. He hoped if she and Isla could stay for break that might give them a way to forge a friendship that would give them a reason to talk. He thought for a moment as she asked about their Aunt’s name. “Marcela. I believe it was. Why? What are you thinking?” he asked. He was beginning to relax as she stood next to him instead of across the way. He listened as she questioned why she would have it in the first place. Good questions, all of them honestly. Again, nothing he nor Isla knew at the moment. He refused to take the clip. “Closer to break. If we give it to her now, it could get lost or broken. Lets not take any chances, this means too much to you.” He said, with a soft smile. Besides, if Fergus got wind of Isla having it, it would raise all sorts of suspicion.”He wanted to reach out to her, to let his guard down but he wasn’t sure at this moment. He almost smiled when she stepped closer and rested her hands on his forearms, her touch soothing his emotions, drawing them closer. It was more the distance between them, physically and emotionally that had upset him, upset the balance. Her reaching out, wanting the closeness settled his heart and he let go of his defensive instincts. A shiver ran the length of his spine as she kissed his neck, his hands instinctively sliding to her waist. He smiled softly as she asked for his forgiveness. “How could I stay angry with you over this?” He said softly, chuckling at her comment about if she really was mad at him. He had no desire to find out what she was truly capable of in full anger. “If ever I make you that angry, I deserve what I get.” He said with a wink as he leaned to her, resting his forehead against hers. “I love you with all my heart, my wife. You are my world, my reason for every breath.” He said, his arms wrapping tightly, protectively around her. “Jag älskar dig av hela mitt hjärta. Men du ska veta att jag kommer att skydda dig med mitt liv om det blir så.” he said, knowing it was a distinct possibility. He shook his head, pushing the thought away. He did not want to further add to the emotions of the night. He didn’t want to think about the future, he was content to be in the moment. He leaned back and took her chin in his hand, gently lifting her to face him again. He smiled quickly then leaned in to kiss her deeply. He did not want anything to come between them, and he needed her to know that he understood, and that they were alright. Their love was much stronger than anything anyone could throw at them, even if 'anyone' was one of them, intentionally or otherwise.

Anneli felt her heart sink as he took a step backward. She frowned as he flinched. Her loss of control around him in the form of fire, of all things. It crushed her. She wanted to be able to take it back, but her instinctive reaction still smoked from the ground around her. Anneli was quickly understanding that she was more dangerous than she had previously thought. It would take time to gain more willful control over this. But for now, her only desire was to protect him, even if from herself. Anneli instinctively took a step back, turning away for a moment.
She was recaptured by his kiss to her hand. It was a symbol of acceptance after the flames. Anneli had wondered if being part-Veela might be a dealbreaker when she first told him. Only time would tell. Though Loce didn’t seem the type to be easily scared off. Not after everything she had already revealed to him.
“Marcela,” Anneli repeated softly, as if to herself. The name struck her. Her eyes glazed over in deep thought. “As a child, I would take haven on-and-off with my maternal grandmother, Frigg Viktoria. I called her ‘mormor Frigg’,” She laughed, “A strong, enchanting woman. I suppose full-Veela, though that was never spoken about openly in my family. I was too young to label her charm, anyway,” She murmured, lost in thought, “My mother would send me to my grandmother randomly as a young child. She would have me promise never to tell my father where I had stayed. I was never sure why I was sent there, though in hindsight I’m sure it was my mother’s attempt to protect me when things were becoming more dangerous…” She sighed, shaking her head gently, “I tell you all this, because mormor Frigg kept the company of many Pureblood families. She was married to one herself, my grandfather.”
Anneli turned, pacing as she recounted a part of her memory she hadn’t tapped into in some time, “I know my grandmother was regarded as an unusual witch as she befriended many Seers and beings alike. One of her friends I remember in particular…an older woman named Marcela. An outspoken Seer. She would ramble frequently at the dinner table about visions she had seen and how her family would not accept such things. I believe she even had a room in my grandparents castle at the time…”
She turned back to him, “I wanted to know if there might be any connection with their aunt and anyone I might know, seeing as how their aunt is the one who has seemingly protected the prophecy all these years…” Anneli shook her head, “It’s a long shot, but if my grandmother knew their Aunt Marcela intimately, perhaps there’s a chance the prophecy came from her? I’m not exactly sure how, but the memory doesn’t feel coincidental.” She hated the lack of answers, but was happy with their progress at least. If there truly was a connection between her grandmother and their Aunt Marcela, then it was more than likely the prophecy had in fact featured her in it. More than anything, Anneli wanted the truth.
There was something else. Sophia’s letter. Marcus’ words ‘going to end it once and for all’ had kept her up at night. She had made a promise not to tell Loce that Sophia wrote the letter in warning, but it was necessary to bring it forward now. Anneli had let enough time pass. Loce did not owe her every detail of his life, but admittedly the omission had been discouraging. She wanted to have his back the same way he held hers. They were a team, and a damn good one. Anneli wanted him to let her in completely.
She kissed his neck, relieved in his forgiveness, “Well, let's hope you never give me good reason then.” Anneli winked at him playfully. “I love you too Loce, more than anything or anyone I’ve ever known.” Her voice was soft and genuine. A tone of voice she only revealed with him. “Min man, det snabbaste sättet att reta mig skulle vara att dö för mig.” She laughed playfully, leaning into his kiss. All of her previous pent up anger flooded into her kiss. Her heart fluttered and calmed like an ocean in flux.
They would need to move forward with a clean slate. Anneli embraced him, enjoying their closeness. It felt like too long since she touched him. His words melted over her. Loce was everything to her, which is why she needed to bring up Marcus. If there was a time for truth, it was now.
“Loce,” She said quietly, “My love for you overshadows my own life. I know it might be dramatic when said out loud, but I know it’s true.” Anneli caressed his hand. “Each move we make will effect the other…” Anneli wanted to give him the table. She wanted him to tell her without giving up Sophia’s letter, though it might need to come to that anyway. “If there’s anything else I should know...any other potential threats or secret meetings in particular, I would like to know now.” She squeezed his hand, assuring him, “I want to move forward meeting truth with truth. I have been honest about my burdens, now please love, burden me.” Anneli gazed at him deeply, knowingly. She wondered if he would know exactly what she was speaking about and why.
Anneli wanted to meet Sophia with Loce for the first time without the tension of the letter. The last thing she wanted to do was cause a rift between the siblings. Her only desire was to know the truth and to meet it head on with him at her side. If it meant an argument, then so be it. Anneli would meet it with grace. The intensity of her love for him would meet the intensity of her protection, equally.

Loce listened intently as she spoke of her Grandmother and spending time with her. Of her grandmother’s ties to Pureblood families. That was probably how her mother met her father. Both a very fortunate and very unfortunate pairing. Fortunate for him… but not really for anyone else her father came in contact with. He perched on the desk as she paced, watching her mind work to recall what she wanted it to. “So, can we contact your Grandmother and ask? And if she had, or has a room there… Maybe we need to take a bit of a trip?” It could prove very dangerous for both of them, but if it would get them closer to the truth of the prophecy, then they would have to take the chance. “Maybe if we ask Drake, they can link a fireplace directly to your Grandmother’s house. That would cut the danger significantly. And, you could see your Grandmother for a bit.” He suggested, shrugging. He wrapped his arms around her, not ever wanting to let her go. Needing to keep her close to him. “I just need to get used to your new… abilities is all. It changes nothing between us, you understand that right? My heart is yours and always will be.” he said softly, taking her hands in his and kissing each palm before winking at her. They were taught as young children to avoid open flames, having them shoot from your wife’s hands is not something that happens every day. Well if it does, you need to check yourself and stop pissing her off. He held her close as she spoke. Dramatic or not, he knew exactly how she felt. He sighed and shook his head slightly, before leaning to her and kissing her forehead. “Who have you been talking with? Sophia or my Grandmother?” He asked, a chuckle touching his question. The only possible thing she could be talking about is Marcus, and there was only one of two ways she would know anything about the letter. There was nothing else he hadn’t opened up about. “Well, yes. As I told you and Drake when I had that memory surface, I was going to write my Grandmother and Marcus. I did. Gran wrote back telling me she would answer any and all questions, but it needed to be face to face. And yes, Marcus wrote back, telling me he would only tell me face to face as well. He will be in Hogsmeade next week.” He really couldn’t fault any of them for caring about him. Marcus’ letter was brutal. “ I still have not decided if I am going to meet him or not. Which is why I never said anything. There was nothing of interest to say.” He sighed and drew her closer. He kissed her cheek, hugging her close to him.

Anneli gazed at him as he perched on the desk, her mind still reeling with more questions than answers. Her heart skipped as she looked at him. Despite earlier tensions, other feelings charged ahead of any anger or upset. Loce had been proactive in many ways. He placed his life on the line for her, something she would never take with little heed. Their encounter with the Centaur tribe had proven it. She had sworn to protect him with just as much fervor, even if she knew he wouldn’t stand for it if the time came. It would never be a question whether or not she would do anything for the man that stood in front of her now. Teenager or not. There was something at work between them. It was intense and passionate, like the very pull of time itself. In the depths of her heart and mind, Anneli felt that they had known each other before. How, when, why? She wasn’t sure. All she knew was that there was a magic between them. Something untouchable.
She shook her head softly, moving to take his hand. Her touch was gentle with him. Anneli savored these moments, even as they discussed dark matters. She squeezed his hand, “Grandma Frigg passed not long after my mother. She was much older than she appeared and lived an adventurous life.” Anneli smiled, having had accepted her grandmother’s death in a way she couldn’t with her mother’s passing. Eleonora’s death had been shrouded in mystery. Anneli's subsequent removal from her homeland Sweden had been swift, leaving no time for grief as a ten year old. Those memories had left a deep mark on her soul.
“The only contact I have on my mother’s side is her sister, my Aunt Vilhelmina.” She shrugged, “I know she lives in Norway, and that she and my mother were close before mother married my father. She has sent me things throughout the years, usually my mother's belongings or random artefacts from her journeys. She has always been a quiet support from afar, though I’ve never had the freedom of visiting her…” Her voice drifted, her mind almost halted by the idea of visiting her. Anneli had been tortured by her father for asking too many questions as a girl. She understood the consequences of her actions on a visceral level, yet would not heed to them. Halvar might be more powerful, but she had some things he did not.
“If we link a fireplace directly to my Aunt Vilhelmina’s house, I know she would welcome us with open arms.” Anneli smiled, “She’s half-Veela as my mother was, of course. Enchanting, but I know she has a sharp mind. My mother used to call her the ‘Klyftig Ros’ or clever rose. She’s younger than my mother was, though I think she may hold some clues.” She squeezed his hand gently, “So, how would you like to go to Norway? Before or after Boston?” Anneli winked at him, smiling warmly. The idea of them traveling together made her heart race. For years she had been enclosed behind castle walls under the thumb of uncle Ludvig and her father. Her heart yearned to see the world, especially with Loce by her side.
Their closeness relieved her. Her body shifted naturally into his as he held her. His frame was much taller, with wisps of her blonde hair tucked under his chin, “I think I need to get used to my new abilities too,” She chuckled, “Jag är ledsen att jag nästan brände dig. Jag måste kontrollera min eld.” Anneli winked at him. Her hands warmed as he kissed them gently. He ignited a fire within her that was all his own.
She held her breath for his reaction over her questioning. Anneli had not been met kindly with such prying in the past. She expected a defensive reaction, but instead he kissed her forehead. Her mind was quelled. Anneli smiled at him, a mischievous look to her eyes. Of course he knew.
“Well, I’ve never spoken to your Gran though I hope to one day...” She squeezed his hand softly. A look of apprehension crossed her face. “Sophia reached out to me not long ago, though I promised to keep it between us. I hope she will be able to forgive me, but seeing as how you can see right through me…” Anneli winked at him playfully, chuckling.
She thought of Sophia's letter and the worried tone. A concerned frown appeared across her porcelain face. “Sophia was deeply concerned about Marcus’ reaction to your owl. He broke into your parent’s safe and took your documents. Apparently, he left them with the words ‘I’m going to end it once and for all.’” Her stomach turned. “He seems fairly impulsive, willing to harm anyone. Even his own brother.” She frowned, squeezing his hand. Anneli hated the situation between him and his own blood. He deserved a protective brother, not one that seemingly wanted to destroy him.
“Min kärlek, if you decide on meeting with him, you won’t go alone.” She asserted, looking into his eyes. “I’ll be by your side if you're to meet him face to face, if not hidden until needed.” Anneli said with a stubborn disposition. She would not allow for him to be pulled into a trap. “I think it might be helpful to alert Drake as to this meeting as well. I’m not playing any games with your safety.” She raised an eyebrow, “Though I think we could handle him on our own.” Anneli smiled mischievously. She didn't know Marcus, but trusted in their skills nonetheless. Their practice in the forest was evidence enough that they could handle themselves. Anneli leaned into his embrace. She ran her fingers through his hair, kissing his jaw until she reached his lips.

Loce frowned, squeezing her hand back and reaching out to stroke her cheek. “I am sorry love. I truly am.” Her mother and her grandmother. His grandfather had passed before he was old enough to know him. Otherwise, the only other family member he knew that had died was himself. Oddly enough. He had both Grandmothers and his grandfather on his mother’s side. But his mother’s parents had always been cool to him. Like Marcus, they always treated him as ‘other’ or not one of the group. He never understood it. He just figured it had something to do with his affinity to his Gran and her hobbies. He grinned at her. “I think a trip to Norway is in order. And the sooner the better. Lets see if Drake can set it up for us and give us permission to be away from the school for a day or two. At least during daytime hours, he could give us detention or something to throw Fergus off the scent. If your father assumes you’re here, would he suspect anything if you leave?” He asked. He was excited about possibly having a link to the madness that was the prophecy. He grinned and snapped his fingers. “If we can get Isla to get Marcela to go to your Aunt’s house. We can stage a row between the three of us to get us chucked into detention together…. Do you know if your Aunt kept the same company as your Grandmother? Or at least some of the more exotic contacts?”. He laughed and nodded. “Perhaps a little my love.”. He knew the powers were new to her, and would take some getting used to for both of them. “Det kommer att komma med tiden, min älskade. Jag förstår, du behöver inte be om ursäkt. Vi kommer att gå igenom detta tillsammans som vi kommer att göra med allt annat i livet. Du är min hustru, dina bördor och prövningar är mina liksom mina är dina.” He nodded and chuckled. “No worries love, I am not upset with anyone. I actually am glad she felt comfortable reaching out to you. She knows I would have just blown her off. She’s in Maine, she can’t do anything. And … it was fairly easy to deduce, since you don’t know Marcus it would have had to come from someone in My family. And they are the only two who care enough.” He shrugged. He was a little annoyed that Sophia thought he needed minding, but since he knew it came from a place of love, he wouldn’t hold it against her, much. He nodded at her and shrugged. “Marcus has hated me since I was an infant. I don’t know what he knows now that he didn’t know before, or what has changed. I still don’t know if I want to meet with him or not. However, I will not do it without you by my side. I had always intended to tell you and ask if you wanted to come should I decide to go. There just was not a need to worry you otherwise.” A shiver ran through him as she kissed his jaw. When she reached his lips, he met her with every ounce of raw emotion that coursed through him, pulling her tighter into his protective embrace.

Anneli looked away as he stroked her cheek. She felt naked. Though, she might prefer baring skin with him versus revealing so much of herself. Despite the safe haven between the pair, there were some things she had never spoken about. Loce now knew more about her than almost anyone. There were still some things he did not. Anneli felt much more confident in her bare skin than she was exposing the vaulted memories and secrets of her past. Her present wasn't any much less different. Her situation required a poised disposition, discretion and solid armor. He was the only person yet who seemed to tempt her physical and emotional vulnerabilities forward. She could be soft with him. He allowed it. Anneli shivered with delight at his touch. His knowing look and solid frame pulled her in closer, "You are the first to truly know me. Do not be sorry for that." She declared softly, winking at him.
She grinned as he accepted the plan to go to Norway. It was a risky decision. Anneli wasn't one to play it safe. If her father found out about her true intentions, he would have her taken out of Hogwarts in an owl's notice. They would need to have a solid cover. "We will absolutely need Drake...if not require him. My father is already keen on sniffing out any potential barrier to "his" potential gains. If he knows I've left with you to Norway to see Vilhelmina of all people, he'll have me withdrawn from Hogwarts. I would most likely be removed to Switzerland, Germany or Italy. It would depend on whether or not my father wanted me kept under his or my uncle Ludvig's thumb." She frowned, squeezing his hand. The idea hurt her soul, if such a thing existed. "If something sudden were to happen...and I couldn't reach you," Anneli gazed deeply into his eyes, "Please don't come looking for me unless you have an army." She asserted, hoping he would understand her seriousness. "My father is a well-guarded man. Our family name has held influence in all of Scandinavia for some time, though I would argue his path has not upheld the name." Anneli shifted in her spot, hating the idea of her father in this moment. Her shoulder burned with his betrayal. The mark had scarred her in a way that veered her into darkness.
"I know you are as well a well-guarded man as well," Anneli winked, running her fingers along the contours of his cheek. She thought of his shields. They were currently protecting the forest from poachers in exchange for their freedom to enter without interrogation. A decision she had not taken lightly. His willingness to protect her was terrifying in some respects. "But I would rather you forget of my existence altogether before dying for it." Her tone was soft, yet jarring. There was an edge to Anneli. She was stubborn in her denial of his unconditional love for her at times. It would take time to fully accept the lengths he was willing to go for her. "No matter what happens to me, I will not marry Fergus. I would rather die in the name of my mother before that happens." She glanced at him, wondering if he might accept any of that. "Though if I was taken, I would want you to move on. I am not worth chasing a ghost over." Her tone was not pitiful. Anneli did not wallow. Her voice was strong, accepting that their fate might not be what she wanted. His happiness was far more important.
"But until any life or death decisions...I will fight against them with you. Our first stop being Norway." She winked, hoping to ease the tension of her statements. Anneli wanted to make a quick escape with Loce, yet it was important for him to know that she might not be promised. Neither of them were. "If Isla was on board, that would help matters. Marcela would hold much more information than my aunt, she was just a teenager when they knew she other." She shrugged. Anneli wasn't sure which contacts Vilhelmina kept up with.
"So, what's our detention story?" Anneli chuckled warmly, "Did I curse someone for attempting to seduce you after class? Or vice versa?" She winked at him, her fingers playing at the fringes of his dirty blonde locks. “Though I don’t think that would be a likely story on my side. I’m typically a locked chest when you aren’t close by. No need for foolish company.” Anneli shrugged, knowing all too well she still kept some Pureblood sensibilities.
She leaned into him then, happy that he accepted her connection to Sophia. It felt nice to be partly accepted into his family. Anneli was not assigned to marriage to anyone yet, though her heart was set on him. “I’ll never underestimate your deduction skills again,” She laughed softly, her hands finding his body once more.
“Whatever has changed is enough to make him act upon his hate.” She frowned, holding his hand, “I understand your attempt to shield me from worry, but you shouldn’t be concerned with that.” Anneli’s face transformed. Her smile was enticing. "Du har en stark kvinna.”
Her hands moved to clasp at the back of his neck, “Should we make plans to meet Marcus?” She asked, her eyes glowing in the dimly lit classroom, “Before we allow him the upper hand of dictating a time and place?" Anneli pondered, hoping he might want to engage more with more offense than not. She knew the meeting would be inevitable. Marcus didn't seem like one to wait for long.
She gazed at him for a moment before drawing him in with her lips, “I never want to fight with you..” Her whispered teased his ear, “Unless you want one.” Anneli knew that their discussion had been less than an argument, yet it still held tension. Their first real taste of it. Her hands found his hair, pulling him in.

Loce returned her smile. “And I will be the last man that will ever need to.” He said. His intention was to be by her side forever, her husband, her protector, her lover. His hand slipped to her waist to pull her protectively closer. She hoped she might open up more to Cordelia, that she would have another person to turn to. Especially since, as they proved tonight, misgivings and misunderstandings were going to happen along the way. He needed her to be sure to have another safety net for when he wasn’t able to be there and she needed someone. He nodded as she talked about needing Drake. He knew Drake would help them, even if it was sneaking around behind her parents, and his for that matter as he would not be reaching out for permission. The less who knew the better. From their lessons he had learned that Drake cared little for rules that were in the way of something that needed to be accomplished. He liked that about him. He could relate to that mentality. Given the rumors of a relationship between Drake and Gunvald, the rule breaking might even extend to those rules that were just plain in the way. Again, something he could understand. “Drake will help us. We know that. Then we just don’t get caught, how about that? He’s not pulling you from Hogwarts, or from my side. Your father can go to hell, and I have a pack of hounds that are standing ready to lead him there if necessary.” Halvar was one of two people in his life he truly despised. Fergus was the other. He folded his arms across his chest as he listened, sighing. “Then I will raise an army. No one, especially Halvar, is going to separate us.” He was not going to falter in that statement. He refused to call that man her father, he was not. Captor, slaver perhaps, but he was no father. No matter what he threw at them. As long as Anneli wanted to be in his life, there was nothing that he would allow to separate them. “My grandfather’s name still holds influence in all of the British Isles, so… I have a starting point to build an army if needed.”He shook his hed, trying to shake off the bite of her words. He understood what she meant, understood why she said what she did, but it still stung. Nothing and no one was going stand in the way of his marrying her, properly, legally, forever. Well, as long as that was what she wanted. She was the only thing that mattered in this whole situation. Her ability to choose her own life. Most days he would say they would be together forever. Then she would come out with something like this and he wondered if the situations were reversed could she actually do what she was asking him to do? Until any life or death decisions She knew how to crush him without trying, without even meaning to. Did she not understand his life meant nothing to him if she would not be by his side? “You do realize that between Fergus and Halvar, it will come down to life or death at some point. And you realize I am way to invested in us to walk away now or at any point in the future?” He shrugged. It was just how things were and would be. “I think that may be the only thing Halvar and I have in common. I will fight for what I want, and I don’t care who gets in the way.” “I will talk with Isla and get her on board. I’m sure she would like to see her aunt.”. He smiled at her, hoping she could accept the fact that he was in it until the end, no matter what that end was. He shrugged. Detention…. Something to get the three of them in detention together… “What if we blow up the potions lab? The three of us have advanced potions skills. Maybe we take an assignment too far?” Any one of them could make a potion explode with enough force it could be heard outside the room, but do very little actual damage. He thought Isla was in their advanced class, but it was mostly free study so other than him and Anneli, they rarely saw other students in the lab. He chuckled, “Perhaps when the options are as obvious it might be a bit harder.” He was glad she and Sophie were friends. They had to be at least friends as she would not have reached out about Marcus otherwise. He reached, pulling her closer to him his hand settling at her waist. He beamed at her, resting his forehead against hers. “It has nothing to do with strength love. You are stronger than I am in a lot of ways, and I know it well. But with Halvar and Fergus and all of that, the last thing you need to be concerned with is the pettiness of my stupid brother.” He shrugged. None of his omissions had anything to do with him trying to hide anything or not thinking her capable of dealing with it. He just simply didn’t think there was enough information to warrant involving anyone else. He nodded. “Yes, let me figure out when I can meet with my Gran. I’d rather talk to her and get her side of the story so we are better armed when we do meet with Marcus. If I have a better idea of why he wants me dead, maybe I can better diffuse the situation and we can actually get Marcus on our side.” He shrugged. He didn’t know if that would ever be possible. But he’d rather see if that was a possibility before he confronted his brother. “I’ll send Gran an owl later today and we’ll go from there with Marcus when we get a response.” As much as this was just preliminary strategy, it was good to be able to work through it with her. He nodded when she said she never wanted to fight with him. She was his world, his everything, he didn’t want to fight with her either. “If this is the extent of our fighting, I think I can live with that. We will have misunderstandings throughout our marriage, I lives together. I have no doubt, we are both strong, stubborn, and can be overprotective. But as far as fighting goes, this really was not bad.” He had been expecting more, but neither of them really had their heart into it. If they had wanted to, he was certain it could have gone a drastically different route. But they both wanted to believe that the other was not deliberately intending to upset them, and that was how they both approached the discussion. She kissed him, and he eagerly melted into it. Gland to be on this side of their argument. His fingers strayed upwards from her waist and he slid off the desk to pull her even closer against him.
