In the vast and serene library at Hogwarts, bathed in the soft golden glow of sunlight filtering through tall stained-glass windows, Jadis, a Hufflepuff girl with vibrant purple hair, finds herself engrossed in a book about mythological creatures. With her dark eyes fixed on the pages, she sits cross-legged on the polished wooden floor, leaning against the sturdy stone wall, ignoring the plush cushioned seats nearby.
Jadis wore a Hufflepuff sweater set, opting to leave her long billowing robes in her room today. Their yellow notes in her sweater complementing her unconventional hair color in an unexpected way. The library was a sanctuary for her, a place where she could immerse herself in reading. Her fingertips gently traced the illustrations of creatures that embodied guardians or servants of the underworld, her mind captivated by the legends and lore.
As she reads about creatures like the fearsome chimera, Jadis is oblivious to her surroundings. Time drifts quickly by unnoticed as she delvs deeper into the intricate details of such creatures, her curiosity unabated.
Unbeknownst to Jadis, someone had approached, silently standing in front of her... But Jadis remained oblivious, her mind enraptured by the myths that she was reading about.

Boian was absorbed in his own thoughts and concentrating on a book he’d pulled from the restricted section. He was looking for some hexes that would show he meant business but wouldn’t be fatal or permanently scaring, at least not for first offenses. That would come later. And would be something his associates would be dealing with. He shook his head, flipping a few more pages as he strode towards one of the rooms in the back.
Temporary blindness could work but wasn’t very noticeable beyond the person being hexed. Some sort of disfigurement would be better. He flipped a couple of pages, paused to scan a new section, then shook his head. He flipped a few more pages, scanning again. This book had promise. A good bit of promise, some of the stuff he could use on the students too. Of course, that could lead to a whole set of other issues. He’d have to be careful here. He’d just have to get some of the more indebted students to see some of his handiwork on the adults in Hogsmeade. That might work.
He flipped a few more pages then started to walk again, tripping over something on the floor. He dropped the book as he reached for the shelves to catch himself and regain his balance. “Damn, what the?” He turns, noticing the purple haired Hufflepuff he’d seen Loce talking to in Charms. “Hey, sorry… you okay?” He asks, taking a step closer and offering a hand to help her up.
